Project “E-Social Health Care”, with acronym e-SOHECA, funded by the INTERREG V-A Greece-Bulgaria Cross-Border Cooperation Program 2014-2020
In 2020, under the project built a telemedicine system to provide medical services for measuring the health of patients at home. The Municipality of Zlatograd also implemented the following activities set out in it: renovated the municipal building "Health Service" in the village of Startsevo; purchased medical equipment for diagnostic imaging - specialized mammography system (mammography); medical equipment, part of the telemedicine system, including glucometers and professional weight scales; hardware equipment and specialized software as part of the telemedicine system. Staff and users were trained to work with the system, which provides measurements at home of the following health indicators - measurement of heart rate and rhythm; continuous recording of electrocardiogram (ECG) - 24 hours a day; measuring oxygen saturation in the body, heart rate (SpO2); monitoring and screening for sleep problems, such as Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA); monitoring fluctuations in blood pressure and heart rate, as well as measuring body temperature with high accuracy.
In connection with the global pandemic, the project provided additional funds for the purchase of hospital beds for intensive care with anti-decubitus mattresses and ordinary hospital beds, finger oximeters, medical equipment measuring many parameters, non-contact thermometers, professional scale for weight / scale, oxygen cylinders - 5 l, with reducing valve and humidifier, oxygen concentrator and glucometers.
A Computer Radiography (CR) system was purchased with the possibility of recording mammography images, for digitization of an analog mammography device purchased within the e-Social Health Care project, with the acronym “e-SOHECA”, funded by the Cross-Border Program cooperation INTERREG VA Greece-Bulgaria 2014-2020.
In the Polyclinic of the "Prof. Dr. Asen Shopov” Zlatograd Hospital, the windows were replaced, the bathrooms were repaired, plaster and latex were made on the walls and ceilings, antibacterial vinyl flooring was laid, the furniture in the waiting rooms and lighting fixtures was renewed with new LEDs - energy saving.
Construction and repair works were carried out to improve the approaches to the Polyclinic and the health institution.
